We are discussing a novel by an author who as a child lived in Ukraine and Russia.
The debut novel is entitled  “Your Presence is Mandatory” by Sasha Vasilyuk. It covers 70 years between World War II and the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2014, so it’s not about the current situation, but it may help us understand it.
