Join the North Louisiana Jewish Federation and our community partners as we commemorate the one-year anniversary of the October 7th attacks.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Elliott Malamet* with the program “October 7 - A Year and a Lifetime Later" - As we approach the heartbreaking anniversary of October 7, we look back while trying to move forward. How has Israel changed as a society and how can it move beyond trauma? What is the future for a diaspora Jewry in the face of both antisemitism and assimilation? In the wake of October 7, how can we "lean into" our Jewishness, and re-identify with the beauty and power of Jewish spirituality and ritual? How can Israel recapture the hearts and minds of young Jews?

The event will include a photo exhibit, along with stories, songs and prayers to commemorate the lives lost, honor the heroes who inspired us, and pray for the hostages.

There is no cost to attend but registration is required by October 4. Seating is limited, and security measures will be in place.
