To honor the lives that were lost during one of humanity’s worst moments, our community remembers the Holocaust with an annual ecumenical service. Through our remembering and active cooperation, we strive to obliterate injustice.

The annual Literary & Arts competition now includes an essay for Middle School Students, and the High School competitions have more categories than ever before here: Essay, Poetry, Short Story, Art, Music. Winning entries will be presented during the service. Deadline to submit for the Competition is March 1.

The Chair of the event this year is Dr. Kenna Franklin of LSUS
Assistant Provost of Diversity, Inclusion & Community Engagement
Associate Professor in the History and Social Sciences Department

This year the special speaker will be Sonia Levitin,
Holocaust survivor and award winning author.
 Her website is HERE

Eleven candles will be lit to honor the memories of eleven million people who lost their lives during the Holocaust. One candle will be lit to represent the modern tragedies due to hatred, prejudice and injustice.

We will share prayers and memories.
