FRIDAY FILM FEST - on ZOOM THIS FRIDAY:
For a number of years we would show movies Friday nights after services during the summer. This year we will try something new: We will show a movie on ZOOM. Starting at 8pm this Friday (July 26) we will watch A Stranger Among Us. CLICK HERE for more movie details and the trailer. In this movie from 1992 Melanie Griffith played Emily, a tough NYPD cop, who was sent to an orthodox Jewish community to investigate a missing person plus $720,000 in missing diamonds. To solve what becomes a murder case, she goes undercover in the orthodox Jewish community.
After the movie we can stay and discuss details, or you can leave. If this works well (everyone in their own homes, with their own popcorn and pop and pajamas), we will show more movies.
CLICK HERE to join the ZOOM (or use the form below to receive an email with more details).
You can join us starting at 7:30ish for our Oneg Shabbat, and to test your tech.
The movie is rated PG for language and violence. 1 hour and 50 minutes.
We will start the movie at 8pm on Zoom.
