The word "S'lichot" (also spelled "Selichot") in Hebrew means "forgiveness." During the period before Rosh HaShanah extra prayers and poems are added to services. There is also a special service added after Shabbat the Saturday evening before Rosh HaShanah. It is a powerful, yet subdued overture to the High Holy Day services. We will use the new Reform Movement S'lichot Prayer Book, "Mishkan HaLev." We will use High Holy Day melodies to continue our preparation for Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur. We will only be on Zoom.
