Havdalah and Minyan with Rabbi Jana on Zoom
Saturday, May 3, 2025 • 5 Iyar 5785
8:40 PM - 9:10 PMZoomPast SessionsSaturday, April 26, 2025 • 28 Nisan 5785 - 8:35 PM - 9:05 PM - Zoom
Join Rabbi Jana for Havdalah (the ceremony which separates Shabbat from the rest of the week) and a brief evening service, so that she can have a minyan to say Kaddish. Bring your own candles, wine/grape juice, and spices for the Havdalah, or just share the experience using hers. There will also be a very brief service (if we have a minyan) so that she can say Kaddish to honor her mother's memory. Invite your friends and family. We hope to continue this new tradition every week - but note that the time will change each week, depending on Havdalah time*.
Rabbi Jana created slide shows of the services to make it easy to participate on Zoom. They will be shared on the screen, but if you want to see them, they are based on Mishkan T'fillah, and can be seen here in pdf format:
Slides for Rabbi Jana's Havdalah are HERE.
The Evening Service Slides can be seen HERE.
*Time for Havdalah in Shreveport can be found on the B'nai Zion Calendar HERE.
