Dr. Josh Parshall from the Goldring/Woldenberg Institute of Southern Jewish Life (ISJL) will do a presentation during Shabbat Evening (YouTube) service. Josh Parshall, PhD. is Director of the History Department of the ISJL. Dr. Josh Parshall has served as the Director of the ISJL History Department since July 2017, and was also the oral historian from 2009 to 2013. His academic interests include American Jewish culture and politics, Yiddish language and culture, and southern studies. Dr. Parshall will be speaking during the Shabbat evening service about the history of the Jewish community in Shreveport.
