Blessing of the Pets
Sunday, October 30, 2022 • 5 Cheshvan 5783
11:30 AM - 12:00 PMB'nai ZionThe Sunday morning after we read the story of Noah we will once again have a "Blessing of the Pets." Bring pets or pictures for blessings. We will also have animal Mitzvah projects.
- All animals must be on leash or in a secure carrier. Any animal in a carrier that will be opened, must have a secure leash already attached, unless it is a small, pocket pet (hamster, gerbil, etc) that can be adequately and safely contained in a hand. Be aware, a small pocket pet is easily startled and might bite, causing the owner to drop the pet. A small animal jumping to the ground and scampering away is a tempting treat to some bigger animals!
- All dogs, cats, ferrets and horses should be current on their rabies vaccination.
- It is highly recommended that a responsible person (parent, older sibling, grandparent, caregiver) accompany any young child.
- Remember to ask the owner/handler of each pet belonging to someone else if it is ok to pet their animal before touching someone else’s pet.
- Do not give food to someone else’s pet before asking the owner. (It is preferable not to feed the animals while they are at B'nai Zion).
- Please clean up after your pet - do not leave any messes that could be stepped on by children, adults, or other pets.
We will be collecting donations for Pet Savers of Shreveport. All/any of the following are appreciated:
