YKC01 (662) Open and Close Ark for Avinu Malkeinu
Bring your book, and walk up to the bimah while we are reading page 661 to be ready to open the Ark by the time we turn the page to 662. When the Rabbi says, "Please rise when the Ark is open" open the doors to the Ark. NOTE: The door on the left is difficult to open in the middle of the opening - it starts out easy, gets difficult, and then is easy again. Continue to open it beyond the difficult part. Two people will be doing this honor: one for the left door and one for the right. If you have weakness in your arms, please choose the door on the right. Face the Torah Scrolls and read with the Congregation. You will stay standing with the Ark open through the end of the service. After the Shofar is blasted on page 673, please close the Ark. 

YKC02 (673) Blow Shofar
Bring your book, and walk up to the bimah while we are reading page 661. The Ark will be open on page 662 for the Avinu Malkeinu. The congregation will continue standing (with the Ark open) until after the Shofar is blasted on page 673. Part of your honor is to be standing on the Bimah for the final prayers of Yom Kippur. At the end of page 673 the Rabbi will call "T'kiyah G'dolah" for you to do the Shofar Blast.
