Sunday, Nov 10th 3:00p to 4:00p
We will be placing or replacing flags at the graves of the veterans in the Shreveport Jewish cemeteries. We will meet first at the Agudath Achim Hebrew Rest (Intersection of Yale and Walnut Streets) , then continue to the Jewish section of Greenwood Cemetery on Stoner Avenue (Hebrew Rest 3). We also plan to go to Hebrew Rest 2 (1437 Texas Avenue), and Hebrew Rest 1 (the Jewish section of Oakland Cemetery). It would be helpful if you let the office or the Rabbi know if you plan to join us - so that we know to expect you. Please also contact us if you see a Jewish veteran's grave that does not have a JWV (Jewish War Veteran) marker. We can provide markers and flags for Jewish veterans in cemeteries other than the Jewish cemeteries. -
